Senior Digital Media Planner

Senior Digital Media Planner

Founded by seasoned publishing professionals, MediaMax Network is a company dedicated to delivering innovative local marketing solutions to businesses of any size. The primary function of this role is to assist the VP of Digital in providing day to day guidance to a team of media planners in support of our sales team. This position will require extensive experience in media planning with digital planning as the lead media, attention to detail, strong analytical skills and experience handling vendor relationships. You will be a member of a highly motivated Integrated Media Sales Team. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Digital, assisting in leading the support & growth of the company as a whole.

Key Functions:

  • Responsible for putting together media plans
  • Lead digital media strategy
  • Work with Media Planners to strategize and develop digital and integrated media plans for robust incoming RFP’s
  • Day to day processes will require strong business sense and methodical pricing strategy and putting together media plans
  • Work with several internal departments (Ad Ops, Sales Supports, Sales Team, Finance etc.)
  • Communicate campaign red flags to VP of Digital and be proactively solution-oriented
  • Work with VP of Digital to tactically drive company-wide goals
  • Maintenance and management of media planning templates
  • Analyze and compile monthly forecasts for executive review
  • Additional priorities and duties as required

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Media Planning experience among all platforms; 2+ years with Digital media
  • Experience planning multi-channel digital media plans
  • Experience pitching digital programs on calls with sales reps
  • Management experience a plus
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Must have a positive attitude and be a team player that can work well in cross functional teams
  • Organized, detail oriented, strong communication skills are required.
  • Experience with media billing & rate negotiation
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must have advanced Excel skills
  • Proficiency with Media Math
  • 4 year bachelor degree

We have an immediate opening for a top producing digital media sales professional who possesses the stature to represent MediaMax.

Qualifications:

This position reports directly to VP of Sales and will have access to full support network based in Valhalla, NY Headquarters.

As the exclusive local partner of Condé Nast and the Meredith Parenting Group, as well as hundreds of digital properties, we provide geo-targeted, integrated solutions that provide access and influence to our clients' best customers.

We are expanding the business development team for our fast-growing company and are looking for results-driven, passionate team players to help us build leads and build engagement.

Suggested Experience & Skills:

  • 1-3 years of quota-based, B2B sales experience or a strong interest in sales
  • Ability to work in a rapidly expanding and changing environment
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills 
  • Positive and energetic personality
  • Proven history of meeting and exceeding measurable performance goals
  • Self-starter, competitive, and drive to win
  • The ability to handle objections and think on your feet
  • An Associates or Bachelor's degree

A Huge Plus:

  • Experience in advertising, print or digital
  • Prior Salesforce.com or SalesLoft experience 
  • Formal sales training
